As I dont really want to keep on the pokemon train anyways , I wanna create my own stuff. So thank you so much for tagging me ![]()

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention
I can’t count how many times I’ve come across a shop page (on Ribblr and elsewhere) that was literally loaded with IP violations
As a former paralegal it makes me crazy to see that
I’ve reported quite a few of them
People think (erroneously) that since they are not selling “their version” that they are not doing anything wrong. However copyright and trademark infringement is illegal. Not only that (speaking for the US only) it violates federal law.
Trademark owners have to vigorously defend their trademark or they will lose it so the corporations like Disney, Sanrio, Nintendo etc really come down hard on infringers. It can result in thousands of dollars in fines.
If you can’t come up with your own original idea please don’t steal anyone else’s work. Bad idea
Totally agree

I have reported quite a few of these patterns and shops and Ribblr has done nothing. It would be nice if they stopped promoting them for Flash Thursday at least. Yesterday’s had 4 ip infringement patterns
.
I see many patterns like that on Ribblr. ![]()
Since I thought it was about selling and making money off the product, I didn’t know it was about showing them too. That’s too harsh!
There are books with these kind of patterns (cleared for copyright), what if I want to show a make from those? Can’t I do that?
Nope, sadly they see it as infringement because you are gaining followers because of their character and those followers could lead to you getting more sales. It’s honestly pretty messed up =/ I feel like that’s taking it too far as well. Selling I totally get. It’s a shame too cause a few personal makes I have are characters that I can no longer show =(
