Hihi! I am making a crochet pattern and I need help figuring out if the decreases are right. Like- the amount of times I decrease and how many sts I ended up with! PLEASE HELPPPPP

Well, half of 42 is 21 so yeah you’d have 21 decreases therefore 21 sts

Those two rows wouldn’t interfere with each other because one’s in the front loop and the other is in the back loop.
The stitch count of row 9 would be the same as row 7 minus however many decreases
