Um, I just knew as a small child that none of them were real-fairies, Santa, Easter bunny, sprites, boogeyman, etc.
But I did believe my cousin when she told me that I would grow into a grape overnight cuz I ate the seeds with the grapes. I asked why I wasn’t a grape in the morning and she said she came in the middle of the night and popped me.

I prayed to god every night to save me from child abuse and it never happened, and at the ripe old age of 10, i learned, silent prayers arent answered, you must scream your needs to anyone who will hear you.

Im so sorry that happened to you 
But i have a different perspective. I know it may seem like God isnt there, but he is. Not all our prayers are answered with “yes, ofc” sometimes its no, or wait. And he hears our thoughts, so we can pray in our minds and he will be there to comfort us if we let him. Take joseph for example: he was beaten, thrown into a deep stone well, and sold as a slave by his own brothers he was then falsely accused of being innappropriate with someone and thrown into jail. But God was with him the whole time. Sometimes we struggle, thats for sure, but its for a purpose. As a result, we can help and enxourage others who may have the sme difficulty, or we can learn something. Life isnt perfect, but when everyone leaves or you go through a rough patch, Gods gonna be right by your side; he understands you, he was literally beaten, spat on, stripped, slashed, pierced, and had nails hammered through his hands to the cross while he hung there. So here is God, beaten just a sliver away from death, hanging from nails in his hands. Theres no way that didnt hurt. We can also see ruth, she lost her father, husband, brother, and her homeland. Paul was beaten. Same with Silas. The israelites were slaves. So basically, everyone has many difficulties, but if you let Him, God can and will comfort you <3

Anyways, i never believed in any of those people. In kindergarten i said the tooth fairy or easter bunny wasnt real, a girl fot upset, and the teacher yelled at me lol

I believed in Santa and the tooth fairy until I figured out that my dad was the tooth fairy because he kept falling asleep and had to come up with reasons why the tooth fairy was late
I always thought it was funny though that both of those people were reasonable in my mind but the Easter bunny existing was completely out of the question
