Good morning! Today’s question is
What is a myth growing up you believed?
Here we go:
If you keep your purse on the ground, you would be cursed with bad luck.
Greek mythology… I read so many books about it that I was convinced that it was real (it’s not a specific myth, but it counts right…?)
Uhh that if you sneezed with your eyes open they would pop out
i wasnt a gullible child so i don’t think there were any
we just joked that chocolate milk comes from brown cows and strawberry milk comes from jumbo strawberries
Fairies are real, my mom told me that and I believed her for 6 years
same i believed that one too
I believed that adults didnt have eyelashes. there IS a reasonable explanation tho lol.
Fairies are real. I used to make a whole tooth fairy bed out of old cardboard. I even gave a bed sheet.
I dont really know, I wasnt gulliable and didnt believe most stuff
My brother told me that pickles mixed with meat was poisonous-I believed him.
There were two that I really believed,
(1) that if you swallowed a watermelon seed, a whole watermelon would grow in your stomach
(2) that swallowed gum stays in your stomach for 7 years
I think both were told to me by my sister
If you ate a watermelon seed you would grow one in your belly
If you were to swallow bubblegum it would get stuck coming out the other end (LOL)
When you get hiccups it meant you were growing
My sister also convinced me when we were younger if I pressed on my bruises hard enough they would go away.
That coffee stunts your growth, but i drink lots and im still growing (:
If you touch a frog you will get warts
I need to know this explanation lol
The bruise one is slightly true. There’s a method where you press down and out from the center outwards. It actually does help the bruise go away sooner by breaking up the pooled blood under the skin aka bruise
Unicorns
I still believe in them tho
Well, when I would take baths, I was afraid that the drain would eat my toe. I was screaming in fear until my granny put my foot on top of the drain after my bath. Nothing happened, so i got over that quickly
