Question of the day

Have you ever taught someone how to crochet? I taught my friend and she’s left-handed, so it was really hard but she did learn how to crochet and now she can crochet in rows. I’m going to teach her how to crochet in the round soon.

I have tried to teach my left handed 8 year old sister. That didn’t go well.
My mom had to help m make 40 granny squares for an order cause i wasn’t gonna finish on time. But my mom hasn’t crocheted anything but granny squares.

Gosh dingit.
I tried to teach my cousin, who spent 20 $ on crochet stuff, and the following week, she gave up, and forgot abt it. Then, when I made a turtle the size of my chest, she asked me to make one for her, and it made me agitated, because it was so hard to teach her, and she kept questioning everything, which annoyed me. (She’s 30)

Another when I taught my friend, and she was much easier. Except for that one time she lied to me about making a mini turtle.

I taught my sister (not very well) and now she can crochet, but doesn’t do it much. My younger sister also wants to learn. So far she can do a chain (it’s a little harder to teach her ;-;)

My cousin taught my friend, and she thought chaining was the only thing you could do lol :joy: then, my friend taught her how to sc.

I taught my mom. I also taught my 10 year old brother and tried with my 7 year old sister, but she couldn’t get it, and he lost interest. But now my mom is my crocheting buddy.

I have no irl friends and no siblings, and my folks couldn’t care less about crochet, so… yeah.

I just recently was teaching my friend who is left handed how to crochet. It was challenging to think differently and try it left handed myself. But I was able to get her through the first round of a granny square so she’s doing well.

I tried to teach my mum to crochet. It was a disaster!
it was fun but she couldn’t t quite grasp it. She never has tried since but to be fair she is very busy!

You don’t have any irl friends :sob:!?

Literally none. My last friend stopped being my friend when I was 15, I’m 21 now. I was homeschooled, have since graduated, but almost never leave the house.
