like they just rewrite or even just take a screenshot of the pdf and on the bottom of the page it says don’t repost

i think ive seen that done actually. i bought a bear pattern and make it pretty often, and a week after i bought it i saw it fully screenshotted on pinterest

Pinterest has rules against infringement. Any designer who sees their pattern reposted without the designers consent can complain. You have to be the original designer to complain though. Not sure they will respond to people complaining on the actual owner’s behalf
Ribblr has similar rules.
