Ridiculous Sadness

Soooo… I just killed a fly. And at first I was all ,ā€ Oh, yay, it is gone forever!ā€ But then I look at it’s frail body and know that it’s family is waiting for it, and I get all sad. It’s ridiculous, but does this happen to anyone else?:fly: :skull:

Edit: I know it sounds weird, but please be nice.

I don’t think it’s ridiculous at all! It’s how I feel all the time, so I never kill anything even if it’s an ant or lanternfly (which I’m deathly afraid of). Also the reason I’ve been looking at the spider in my shower for like 2 months now, wondering about the day I look up and it’s gone. Other people think that it’s weird, I think that I’m just way too soft :person_shrugging:

I know you guys are ssad about it, but it was robbing us of our food so it is basically a criminal. let’s just say it went to fly jail.

Your not alone. The other week a spider was on my hand and I got spooked. I jumped and flicked it off and killed it. I wont lie … I cried, I felt soooo bad.

Yeah, I don’t like killing bugs either. Recently, a lot of wasps have been getting into our house, and I’m the only one in my family who hasn’t killed one

Aww. I’m sorry. Turns out, the fly is dead again. :sob:

I don’t kill bugs anymore because that’s how I feel:sob: and it’s not their fault they have to come to our houses to find food and shelter, it’s not their fault that they’re tiny and make a noise!! Thats their life and there’s nothing they can do about it, and we just kill them :’)

We’re probably killing lil baby bugs and spiders too and I imagine them have lil kid minds and then just being killed:pleading_face:

Or if there are giants much bigger than us humans and they kill us because we have annoying voices and don’t realize we’re in their house!! I know we would all hate that, but that’s how a bugs life is like

I’m probably overthinking it and I feel to bad but I cry if I accidentally kill a bug:sob: okiii well that was a long rant ima shush now hehe <33

But they don’t even know it’s our food, they’re so tiny they probably don’t even realize they’re in our house:sob:

poor flies :(
It’s true, maybe you could just make a fly hole similar to a cat one, where you could shoo them away instead
Give them a small food offering hehe

I try to avoid killing any bugs aside of flies/gnats and mosquitoes, and I don’t feel bad killing those because they potentially have diseases they spread.
I’m pretty positive flies don’t live in any kind of colony or anything, and adult ones live super short lives, their whole purpose is just to mate and then go poof. No flies were missing it, there’s bazillions more out there, no harm was done in getting rid of this one. It’s okay!

When I got to school one day, I was sitting in the courtyard, and I saw a spider. Someone next to me killed it, but then I realized it had egg sacks, so the I felt bad for all the baby spiders that never made it into this world.:spider::sob:
