Safety eyes or crocheted eyes?

I’m just wondering what everyone prefers - safety eyes or crocheted eyes?

I prefer safety eyes bc they are easier and I don’t have to make them. And sometimes they are cuter I also like to sew on eyes

I find it really tricky to make crocheted eyes symmetrical. I do like the look of them when I get it right though… Safety eyes are much quicker!

Safety eyes are not really “safe”. It says not intended for children under 3 (or something). You never know when something you make will get in the hands of a young child.

That is always my concern and why I always use crocheted eyes unless it is for my own (older) children or for an ornament (like to go on a wreath)

I think even the gifts for older children will someday be passed on to others. Crocheted eyes have so many possibilities. I basically only use one style / pattern, but some of the choices out there are so cool looking.

I dont own safety eyes, and personally I like embroidering eyes as I think they’re safer if the gift is for a child (no choking) but between these two I like safety eyes
