I’m not sure that photo is AI? To me, it looks like they’re holding two cow snugglers, but the pink one is mostly directly behind the blue one. The rest of the interaction still sounds weird and scammy though. So idk the stitching looks pretty legit to me. Unless AI is just getting a lot better at that… I can usually tell real from AI very easily.

It’s possible that’s what they used as the starter image, I also looked around before using the AI scanner and personally think they used this image from avalon crochet’s as their starter image. Using a starter image can help enhance the realism of the results.
That being said, I ran it through multiple different AI detectors that pick up on the diffusion in the image to determine of an image is AI. Several of which pointed to mid journey AI which is known for its hyper-realism. The stitches look too puffy to me personally, as well as the center of the plush, if it was that pattern why is it crocheted into one? That is the main reason I think the photo below is the starter photo. The shadows and lighting also look off. I also had my husband look at it as he has built multiple AI’s for imagery and writing and he agrees there is something off about it. Edit: my husband explained the way AI works is by taking an image, blowing it up into noise, putting that noise back together, and then you tell it how much of that noise to keep which is why you can get images that look super close (figured that was a fun fact to share)
Even if the image is real and just stolen from somewhere obscure, the conversation was enough of a red flag for me to stop the conversation which is the important part. They weren’t responding to my questions like a typical person, and giving excuses as to why they couldn’t give me answers. The conversation in my og post is a synopsis cause it’s a bit of a novel as it is lol.

Okay I’m not gonna toot my own horn but I do not believe it is AI scanner or not. The reason that it looks like a two headed one is because there are two and a BIG sign of AI is when there isn’t someone holding it themselves.
I am probably REALLY WRONG but as a person who works with Bernat constantly, the stitches look okay to me. :[
