Do it lengthways, because itās easier for you and I think it will look better
Buy 2 skeins just in case I usually do this, because you never know when you need another skein, and if there will be leftovers, well you have another colour of yarn!
Tysm! Ya, I saw a scarf lengthways on Pinterest and thought it looked so pretty like that (it was striped colours though and mines just one colour).
100%! I also get an extra skein. I also donāt plan on this project taking me too much time so if I have an extra I could return it

Just know the slip stitch took the longest and was the shortest scarf of them, it was lion bras ice cream series in the blueberry color I think (I made it a few years ago) and itās size 3, slip stitch takes forever to use in my opinion, It is unlikely I will use slip stitch like that again, but you definitely will get the stripes using the ombrĆ© yarn if you go length wise and not by width, multicolor yarn especially ombrĆ© will really shine (in a not stripy way) best when used with the moss stitch, Iād add a pic of the Tuscany moss stitch if I could find a pic, the Tuscany is shorter since it was made for some who is 5ā2 and the other was for someone who is 5ā11, personally I think the moss stitch looks best with yarn weights above 4, but I did make a few cat hats with moss stitch in I Love This Yarn! sports weight, size 3
Iām sure! I donāt plan on doing slst for this one since itās not ombrĆ©, I may have to do a scarf with ombrĆ© yarn so I can do that lol (even if it is torture and takes forever). I love lion brand!
Tysm, thatās super helpful and those hats are adorable!!

okei I MADE A SCARF RECENTLLYYYYYYYYY so like the pattern might already say this but uh
so crochet the hdcs along the long chain, ch1 and turn, all that normal stuff but dont get it ALL the way to the width you want- leave a few rounds. FO, and then join the yarn back on the foundation chain for the remaining rounds. so basically, you crochet on both sides of the starting chain. this, in my experience of one painful scarf (because that somehow makes me qualify as a scarf expert yippee ahem), makes it look waaay neater
sorry if that didnt make sense!!
Oooo, yass Shrimpy! Tytyyy lol! I was assuming it would be just back and forth, pretty straightforward lol. WAIT THATS LWKY SMART! I might have to try that tehe!

The only advice I can think of is definitely block it so itās more flowy and not stiff
Goodluck!!!

Yeah, I planned on blocking it, but Iāve never blocked cotton yarn before so I didnāt know how much it stretches (hopefully a lot⦠like 12inches or something )
