Hey y’all,so basically I need tips to focus on homework, like I know this is rlly random but I have this rlly big exam coming and I kinda need tips and how to focus like all I do rn is listen to Billie eillish and do it but sometimes I find myself going on ribblr at times lol so do you guys have any tips for that???
i would try, if you study in your room, remove distractions, (tv remotes, iphone/ ipad, smth that could easily distract you from your test) if you like to listen to music, try listening to classical music or smth without words, (dont worry, i find myself jamming out to olivia rodrigo A LOT while trying to study) and DONT OVERLOAD YOURSELF!!! study in intervals to try to not overload your brain!
hope this helps and good luck on your test! god bless, praying for you!
If you can just try to focus on your studying and try keeping your phone out of reach while doing so. Also, setting goals helps a LOT and just trying to do it step by step helps too (Rushing to do everything at once and get it over with increasea the urge to do something else out of boredom!!). If you take short breaks in between study sessions and maybe set a timer to get back on track, that can help too. Hope this helps!! GL on your exam! ![]()

Yea np!
Maybe try setting Time Limits or putting your phone on Focus Mode
UMMMM can’t catch me know, lacy or brutal
i personally love Brutal and Traitor but her upbeat ones like Good 4 You and Get Him Back are a vibe! ![]()
WIth adhd, I struggle alot with school too! BUt what I find helps is quietly playing whatever my playlist is, and then I tend to be done faster.
So I personally listen to The Marias/Not For Radio, bc most of their/her songs are calm, relaxing, and slightly upbeat music that is perfect for studying. I also put a movie, or a play-through of a game by either Kubz Scouts or EmortalMarcus. Also do a pattern where you study for 30 minutes, and break for 5 or something. That’s just my thought tho
Study till the candle goes out…?
Personally… I stop whatever I’m doing and say the goal out loud(sounds rather weird but trust) then proceed to turn on very intense orchestra music and start studying. I usually think of a small goal that I could achieve, and once I do, I earn myself some type of break(chocolate, doomscroll for 5 minutes, etc.) Good luck with exams![]()
I’m the exact samee, I get really distracted as well. Sometimes what helps me is setting a timer on my phone so I’ll set a timer for 2 hours or so and it helps quite a bit. Along with this, set a goal, small goals are also helpful, so if you set a timer, set a goal for the workyou want done in that amount of time.
Sometimes it can help to change where you’re studying. You could go out somewhere, libraries are usually great for studying because everyone’s studying there.
I hope this helps!!
Maybe 20-30 min studying the. 10 min break or 1 hour studying 10 min break?
Here’s what I do:
-
Set rewards at benchmarks (ex. Every time you finish 3 pages of notes, you get to play a game of solitaire or sudoku) don’t make the benchmark something you’re going to want to keep doing over and over, just something to give your brain a little refresher
-
It’s not what most want to hear, but I find high energy fast paced hip hop and rap music helps me. It’s like my brain wants to move at the same pace as the music
-
Make a to-do list of things I need to get done. I find this helps me a lot as I tend to become distracted very easily
-
Physically surround yourself with work. It doesn’t sound like it would work but it does. Say you’re in your room, on your bed, you have a workbook/binder you need to do work in to your right, a book you need to read to your left, and whatever you’re currently working on. I also find it helps reduce my stress about everything I need to get done by moving things off of the surface you had them on, and back where they go. It helps remind me that I don’t have very much work left and that I’m almost done.
I hope at least one of these helps!
Try working for a bit then taking a 5min break and continue until it’s done? It’s what I do since I have poor attention span.
