Selling online and growing your social media is one huge way! I have a Facebook acct under my mom and I get customs and stuff all the time!
The first way I made my big break was when my mom posted a picture of everything I had made and stated the prices and her friends bought them. It worked wonders! Otherwise, you could find cute pattern inspo on Pinterest and make and sell those on your Etsy.

when im not murdered and buried by art block, my main selling things were clown sets (a collar, hat, and cuffs!) i sold one set for 75, i have a couple hats to finish and put up there, but im good making most clothing items or accessories!
