I have had the idea of selling my patterns on here especially where I’m making bigger patterns now I’d like to make money from them. I would have to bring the idea to my mom who knows about Ribblr and posting tester calls and how it’s for crochet and knitting but what she doesn’t know is that a shop. I’m more so afraid she will be mad that I kept the shop from her (I’ve had it for a little over a year ). I don’t know what her reaction would be either, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas and/or suggestions for how to bring the topic up to her.
Show her the shop. I think she would be proud. Nice patterns and a lot of followers. Either way, that is a good start. Tell her you could sell patterns, but would need a stripe account, which is safe and trusted. If you can’t sell them yet. At least she would know about the shop. Much better for the relationship.
i feel like you don’t really need to label it as a shop, because technically if all your patterns are free it’s not a shop of you think about it…. you could just say like “these are the free patterns i’ve posted, but i can start a shop and sell patterns for real money.” something like that
you dont need to say its a shop, just say its your little den or smt! since your patterns are free, but you could ask to start actually selling as well.
I’m going to bring the topic up to her next time (probably today) when she mentions I should start an Etsy. My family tells me that all the time, I’ll bring it up to her then
