Hey,
I’m making a sensory book for a care home.
I want to use different stitches but also a variety of yarn textures.
Does anyone have yarn suggestions for different textures?
I’m in the UK so may not be able to access all yarns suggested but will be happy to look for any recommendations

Try velvet, silk or any of the animal yarns. Along with cotton, acrylic, baby yarns would work great, Any of those those textures and more would work great. I love your idea. Good luck

Eyelash yarn, faux fur yarn,
Try stitches like bobbles,! Popcorn, basket weave in BLO, lemon peel,

I have a pattern with loads of great stitches suggested but it just uses the same yarn for all pages

I’d say avoid wools because of potential allergies. But other than that, might be fun to have a collection of chenille yarns, eyelash yarns etc.
