Simple cotton belt.

Hello fellow fiber artists. I did a thing today for my daughter looking to borrow a belt from me this morning. ( I don’t wear belts ) I told her that I was sorry but I don’t have one. So on the spur of the moment I just grabbed 2 cotton colors and a hook. Telling my babygirl I got chu kiddo and proceded to chain.

This is what I came up with.

I know very few if any will have a spare buckle on hand. (Her great grandma gave her the buckle I used )
If I were to figure out a crochet closure for this would anyone even be interested in it to test and be published as a free pattern?

Any ideas on crochet closures are more than welcome.

Here she is being a great model with her new belt that she absolutely loves!!

I would love to test. As gar as closures , not sure. One option would be a tying it. Or buttons.

I was thinking maybe a crocheted open centered flower or heart to hook over a large bobble/puff/popcorn stitch.

I don’t really own any belts that fit me, so I’d be happy to test!

I would love to test and yeah a crochet closure would be good because finding a buckle can be quite hard (?)

The metal buckle will be optional.

Thank you to those whom have showed interest in the cotton belt. I know it’s nothing fancy. I’ll work on a closure for it once I finish the 4 patterns I’m testing at the moment. Then I’ll write up a pattern and try a tester call.
