Sooo....A random inspirational question!

Sooo I thought it might be fun if I started doing a couple of inspirational questions once and a while to get some extra positivity in some peoples lifes! So here the question:
What is something that you are working toward that is a challenge for you and also a goal?
Here we go:
For me, I am going on my workout journey. I only weigh about 90 pounds currently, and I’m 14, so I already am pretty light lol.

I want to get abs and build up both my arm muscle and my leg muscle, so I am doing Chloe Ting’s 2 week ab workout…It’s gonna be a challenge for me lol but it’s one that is going to be worth it.

My purpose in doing this may come as a shock, not only am I doing it for myself and for my sport, but I am also doing it for my mom. She wants to start her weight loss journey, but hasn’t felt too motivated to do so. So I am hoping that if I can complete and accomplish my workout goals, hopefully it will motivate her to think that she can do it herself

So now I am planning to have good eating habits and I am planning out some better sleep-schedules and also some runs around my neighborhood.

As some of you might know, I currently do motocross which is dirt bike racing, and if you think that it doesn’t require any muscle…well…then you are wrong. It is one of the hardest and physically challenging sports out there, and if I am planning to race next year, I need to do some conditioning.

I decided to keep track of my progress here, that way you this can be shown as an inspiration for anyone else who wants to be able to do it, or follow along with me!

Day 1: Just finished the workout, my abs are killingggg meee! Honestly it wasn’t as bad as I was thinking it was gonna be! But I know how worth it the end result is gonna be! (Completed the full workout without stopping :white_check_mark:)

Day 2: Feeling the burn a little bit more than the day prior, probably because my muscles haven’t been worked in a while haha! (Completed the full workout without stopping :white_check_mark:)*

Day 3: Feeling a bit better overall. My core and whole body already feels much stronger, and the results are begining to show! (Completed the full workout with one or two short 5 minute breaks in between workout videos :yellow_circle:)

Day 4: Today was a rest day, which was well needed lol. I got time to go on 2 runs around my neighborhood and really enjoy the beauty of the world without feeling too tired and stressed out about life.

Day 5:

Day 6:

Day 7:

Half way there! Keep going! You got this!

Day 14:

FINISHED!

Just remember that a healthy diet is just as important as working out. You won’t lose any weight/get stronger if you are eating junk food all of the time. Starving yourself is not the answer either, but make sure to eat a healthy salad and stay away from super sugary snacks. If this is too difficult for you at first, then that is totally ok! Just limit yourself to only one “cheat day” a week and make sure to incorporate some good nutritious food into your daily diet. Remember, diet = exercise, exercise = diet, exercise + diet = healthy habits!

Good luck on your work out journey! I also have goals for working out but its for the opposite reason cause im overweight. (I’m 13 and I’m around 140) If i was tall it would be normal but I’m short so its unhealthy. I’d love to do this challenge with you!

I wouldn’t consider that overweight! Everyone is different and beautiful in their own way:smiling_face_with_three_hearts::sparkles::sparkling_heart:

That is exactly right. Don’t feel like you have to workout just to do it! I am working out for the muscle, not for the results or anything above haha! I would love it if you guys joined me on my journey, but don’t feel like you have to <3

Thank you for sharing this, you are an inspiration and I wish you the best of luck on your journey. After my third daughter was born I went on a workout program and went from 180 pounds to 135. I’ve since gained weight again. The exercise part I still do but it is the food part I struggle with. But I’m not giving up.
I also used to have a dirtbike they are a lot of fun. My dad used to race them it was a big part of my childhood going and watching him race. When he passed away I gave mine to a family member, my heart wasn’t in it anymore. I still have a lot of good memories though.
My personal goal is to workout more and eat less junk food. I also want to dedicate more time to writing crochet patterns.

Thats awesome! Those goals are very achievable!

Racing has always been a part of my family too. I never realized it when I was younger that my one and only passtime would be racing dirtbikes, but my dad had an enduro and at one point we had about 11 dirtbikes. This was when we lived in Michigan, we then moved to a completely different state and now only own 3 bikes. I have a little honda 50 and a yamaha ttr125 which is my new race bike. Whenever we would ride on my dads enduro I would always make up race scenarios in my head. I also did this when we rode snow mobiles.

It’s so hard to look at my life without seeing races involved in it. My dad raced for a little bit, but then he broke his leg on the track and has been afraid to go back onto it ever since. I’ve been riding for about 2 years now, and I finally got my dad to go on the track with me, which is an accomplishment that I will always be proud of.

That’s awesome how much weight you lost! Food definitely is a big part of working out haha! You can’t lose much weight if you are consistently pounding the calories down. I hope you find another program that works for you again in case you want to workout more!

I’m 3 days in and I can already physically see the results. The photos attached were before I even started, after day 2, and at the end of day 3! Taking daily photos definitely helps me feel more confident in what I am doing and how worth it is. Not only can I physically start to see the results, but I also feel way more healthy than I have before. I can’t remember the last time I have craved a cookie or a piece of cake. I mainly just crave an apple sauce or crackers with cheese and turkey slices. Heck! Sometimes even a full salad lol

Hmmm I would say if you are too tired after practice than don’t do it. You don’t want to push yourself to your absolute limits, but you also want it to be challenging. I would suggest starting on a day that you don’t have practice that way you can be comfortable with doing exercises and not being too burnt out either before or after practice!
