SOS Too much to unravel 😭

I don’t even know where to start:skull:. I moved and now I have an entire closet I can dedicate to yarn but… as you can see it is a jumbled mess of tangled I keep wanting to start a new project but then remember ā€œoh wait… remember all that yarn you stuffed in that bagā€ and my brain autocorrects to ā€œeeeh never mind ā€. I know I’m going to have to cut some (a lot) if it and reconnect I’ve already come to terms with that but does anyone have any advice on how to handle this much (while sick with the flu) without losing their dang mind?

Edit # 1

So far so good there is still a mess on my floor though lol I’ve stuck to watching a show I like (might switch to audiobook soon) a couple rest stops here and there and finding yarn that I know I don’t have a lot of so it’s easier to complete the rolls rn I have a ton of fluffy yarn in the pile (and pipe cleaners *was in a rush packing)

Little bit at a time. Maybe do a timelapse video. Or just pictures as you go. Makes it more fun to see the progress. It’s like a big puzzle, isn’t it?

Puzzles, fun think of it as a puzzle and yeah seeing it in different parts could give me motivation.

I’ve got this

I’d separate it into smaller messes so I get the rewarding feeling of finishing a pile xD

Maybe start by grabbing the bigger pieces that kinda stood together and look easier to separate and I meannn some unmanageable small portions are amazing for stuffing xD

The only way to properly do this is get the pink done first, because its at the top (make sure youre watching a moviw/listening to music) and really pull on the yarn to make the strands go out!!! Once you can’t pull anymore out CUT!!! I would remind you get a yarn spinner (though’s things that make yarn wrapped up) a electrical one though!!! You should have more free time since you are sick, but make sure you SLEEP and take BREAKS!!!

It’s a mountain, isn’t it? Take your time. Go slow and snip if you have to. Here’s a tip for future moves. Put each individual ball of yarn in a different Ziploc baggie. That way it will keep it semi nice. And if you can also snip the corner of the bottom of the bag and pull the yarn through there and it will keep it nice and neat

Great job so far!

I would recommend just trying to free one color or skein at a time. I have a similar thing (Although just on really tangled ball due to my puppy) and it will take a lot of time and patience. Just zone out to a YouTube video or something like that and it will be quicker.
