hi everyone! i was wondering if anyone is learning spanish NOT for school! i was thinking abt a gc where we just talked in spanish to help improve our vocab, share tips, etc.

I’m learning spanish on duolingo. I’ve been doing it every day since June.

So over the summer I was a summer camp counselor. It was for kids ages 4-12. There was this one girl (who was about 7) and she never wanted to come to camp because nobody wanted to be her friend. Her older sister tried to encourage her to come but she never would. This was because she couldn’t speak english very well and the only person she could talk to was her sister. One of the other counselors walked over to her and started talking to her in Spanish (It wasn’t her first language). The little girl was really happy that she could talk to someone so I decided to learn Spanish so I can talk to her this summer in case the other counselor isn’t there this year.
I have been practicing everyday for almost 300 days just so she will be able to have someone else to talk to this summer

learned Spanish for two yrs in secret (cuz it’s my father’s native language) but plan on never using it, so i dont think i’d be useful in the gc XD really only use it to know when someone’s talking crap about me
