Hey guys! I always see these posts about crochet wars and I really want to do one but the registration always seems to be closed. So, I’ll just host my own!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 10/27/2024 (you can join later but this gives you time to work.)

hi!! i dont mean to come across as rude or anything, but crochet wars is an original idea. i dont want to gatekeep ideas, but i really dont want people copying it. even though i may not host it anymore, im still kind of the owner of it and id like to politely ask you to next time maybe ask for my permission first?

Hey there everyone. I say this with great shame, but I just realized that I made a terrible mistake. I forgot to credit @itsfayfay4 and in doing so completely stole their idea. I have no choice but to call off the crochet war I was planning. Thank you to everyone who commented about my plagiarism. Have a great spooky season!

I don’t want to come off as rude, but I have seen you talk about this a lot,
nobody can “own” an idea. Crochet has been around for decades, just because you thought of a game, (that probably has been invented before), and brought it to ribblr, does not mean that you are the only one that can do it, especially since there are only like 20 people out of the entirety of Ribblr that are actually doing it. In my opinion, people are just crocheting, and voting on the best one, I don’t see really anything unique about that. Again, I mean this with respect, but I think that every body should just be allowed to play a game. Its like with the first person crocheting a duck, another person probs made it and not credited them bcs they thought that they had made it first, and either way, the 2nd person probs had something different to the first person. Same as this post, ur crochet wars was (correct me if I am wrong) but based on a specific pattern, whereas this one is just doing something spooky related.
