Stash Buster Ideas?😁

Hello friends, foes, and those who have yet to be decided (just kidding:sob:), my yarn stash is at the point where I am not allowed to buy any more until I use up what I have. Ridiculous, right? Anyways, what are your favorite stash-busting projects? Nothing too big, since, you know, it’s scrap yarn! Thanks in advance everyone!

I use the colors i have and make whatever i can. I think the most useful thing for scrap yarn is just making lots of granny squares and sew them together to make something

What if you made a scrap yarn sweater?

Ooh! Good idea, but how would that work with different weights?

I think it really depends on the weight, but I think it can work! The stitches might look a little different lol

Maybe I could double up for smaller yarn?:woman_shrugging:

I think that would work!

If you have like some really small pieces that can’t be worked with, you can use them as polyfill (amigurumi stuffing). Also you can make small gifts for new friends like bean sprouts, keychains etc.
I made coasters with scrap yarn for my mom. Also I saw this really cool reel on instagram where this artist was gluing pieces of yarn to make amazing canvas, if you want, I could link the reel here.

I make a small throw for my cat to sleep on or maybe pillow covers in jasmine stitch or bobbles. Both are yarn eaters. I like to strand together 2 yarns anyways, so you can just keep adding to make a stripeys!

I’m making this for a valentines gift swap with some friends! It’s super quick, I’ve been working on it for about an hour and I almost have the entire side done even though I’m a little slow…
But you can do it single or double stranded, and it has a free YouTube tutorial! (Just search up the shop name on YT)

Granny squares or a scrap basket. Maybe little keychains too?

You can always tie the yarn scraps together and make blankets for local animal shelters.
