In the chats do you think when you click on the chat and read all the messages, the other people can see if you read it or not? Like on a phone you can see it marked as read and maybe it could be the same it the “personal chats”

Sometimes I’ll read something when I can’t respond and then it’ll look like I’m being rude, but I’ll reply when I have time

But sometimes dont you want the person to know you read it but there is no necessary response for it?

Long clicking and choosing a heart or thumbs up would get that across…

I don’t think that’s really necessary, but if that was implemented, maybe have an option to turn it on and off?

I feel the same way
Personally a lot of people I know are anxious and have turned of ‘read messages’ in whatsapp/iMessage etc. I do see the value in it, so interested to see what other people think/feel.
