The run down is that it is a community that is for people that love in a different way. There are 3 categories: Feelings, Preferences, and Gender. I will give you an example for each. So say someone is a Lesbian, that is what we call women that feel romantically and s e x ually attracted to only women. That would be in the Preference section. There are many different flags(or labels) you could have such as:Bi, Pan, Gay, and more. Then there is feelings, now feelings are probably the easiest to understand. Ok so there are not as many as the preference section, but most of the time the fall under the Asexual/Aromantic umbrella. There are 3 main ones in this category I will talk about are aromatic, demi romantic, and gray romantic. Aromantic is when you don’t/can’t feel romantic attraction of any gender. With all the people I know that are aro they say that they have a fear of it or don’t have desire to. Demi-romantic is when you feel romantic attraction rarely, but when you do it is usually someone you are close with such as a friend you have known for a while. Now last is, gray romantic is kinda like a mix of the 2 you can’t feel attraction since it is very rare or limited. Now for the last bit. The gender is probably the most known category and if you could not tell it involves not liking your gender or making an adjustment to it. I will be talking about the: Trans gender definition as well as the Non-Binary and Genderfluid. Trans is when someone who is born as there assigned gender, but wishes to be the opposite. Most of the time they will get surgery to appear as the opposite gender. This can happen to anyone at any age and this is one of the coolest flags. Non- Binary is like Trans except instead of desiring to be a man or woman they fall in between and call them selfies NB or non binary. Usually this is people who hate being called a man and women. And now Genderfluid. Genderfluid is when you feel like you fit into 2 categories usually men and women so you don’t care which you be called.
