My go-to is Caron Simply Soft with 4.0 hook. Journal, final outdoor photo shoot with flower hat, and GC no problem.

Id use velvet yarn with a 3.5mm/4mm hook, same colors as you, might change the colors of the flower hat!!! (^^)

I would use chinelle yarn (size 6 with a 5.5 hook size).
