Tech Editing

I have tried that but couldn’t figure out how to make my suggestions in there?

I can add you as a tester, then you can either use the Journal option to make notes or send direct messages via the Contact Designer.
My original draft document doesn’t have the updated edits on it.

The icon that looks like a book takes you to the journal, the square with a question mark will give you options for help and contacting the designer in an internal mail

Ok thank you. I will try that.

Would a typo on the stitch count for the row not count as a mistake you would suggest fixing?
Good to know some people would not let me know of these things when testing.

Yes that would count. It’s something I always ask testers to check

That is something I would note
“line # says this many stitches, next line says this many”. How it was dealt with depended on the degree of mistake and the designer I was working with.
What was generally not done was changes. Like if you were told to use a certain method of doing something, but you prefer to do it this way. Or you did it, but it didn’t feel right, so you made a few more rows here or a few less there to make it work.
Catching a typo is not changing the pattern.

Sounds like you should be a tech editor!

I have dyscalculia, just reading a pattern can throw me off
I have to write them as a chart to work them.
I won’t catch those math mistakes until I’m actually working the pattern. Brains are weird.
