My sister’s name is Amanda lol! Would test in bulky yarn with 5mm hook. I use your loaf cat pattern a lot already. Love the fruit cat line idea!
Omg! PLEASE LET ME TEST THIS! My shop is called banana cat crochet! I promise to make this in time and will probably make a TON. And then I will probably bury my cat in all the banana cats. I would make both plush and acrylic version, but probably plush first and with a 5 mm hook. I think my plush yarn weight is chunky. 
I would use worsted weight acrylic yarn with a 3.5 mm hook.
