Pepper the Peppermint Gnome shelf sitter Tester Call!
Pepper is finally ready for testing, and I’m so excited to share him with you!
This test comes with a full PDF pattern, plus a short instructional video showing you how to make the foundation double crochet—the special stitch used in the pattern.
This one is best for intermediate to advanced crocheters. You’ll need to be comfortable braiding yarn, and there is also a little sewing involved.
For this test, you’ll need to use worsted-weight #4 acrylic yarn—no chenille or plush yarn this time, please.
Just so you know how much work is involved, the body has 38 rounds total. The largest round has 66 stitches, with 7 rounds worked at that size.
You’ll have two full weeks to finish, so there’s plenty of time! I’ll choose testers this Friday, September 4, and the finished test will be due Friday, September 18.
Previous testers will have priority. I can’t wait to see all your adorable Peppers!
Colors are not that important to me, although I would love to stick with Christmas colors you would be sewing the the arms to the body, the boots to the legs the nose to the face and fastening the hat to the head. Because I was writing the pattern while crocheting and having to edit and frog pieces, of course it took me about a week, but I think to an average crochet it should take no longer than a couple of days. Oh that white thing is actually a fur pom-pom fastened onto the tip of the elf hat, but that is optional.
