Tester call for Crochet: Glow Jellyfish Friend closed

Closed

Thanks for all the responses!
Y’all certainly are eager overachievers!

I need(ed) 4 testers for my Glow Jellyfish Friend - Crochet ePattern
Click pattern photo to apply:

It’s a good beginner tester pattern, since it only uses extremely basic crochet concepts like single crochet, increase, and decrease. There’s a place where you’ll need to crochet through all 4 loops of two crocheted pieces that might be challenging for some, but that’s as hard as it ever gets.

I’m also still in the middle of making it for taking photos, so if you think something needs a photo to make it clearer, let me know and I’ll make sure to include it

Testing call deadline is the 14th, or whenever I get enough testers, with finished projects and suggestions in by the 21st… or whenever everyone is finished testing. Whichever comes first.

How big is it? Also will there be a deadline?

It’s a small little guy, about 4 inches (10 cm) across and including the tentacles he’s maybe 15 ish inches?? (~40-43cm) . It took me about 4 hours to make the first one when I was figuring out how to make him and so far only about 2.5-3 to make him this time around while also typing in the pattern.

Uh, no strict deadline? I’d like to officially list it in a couple weeks though.

If I can edit the post, I’ll throw in better details

Thank you! It’s the first pattern I’ve drafted
I crochet freehand a lot, but I finally got around to writing my work down

Awesome! It looks amazing. Congrats

Do we need the glow in the dark yarn to test? Looks amazing.

Nope. You’re free to use any yarn and any hook you’re comfortable with. If you want to make this little guy into a 3ft big boi with chunky chenille, or a bby boi with thread, it’s up to you… as long as the criticism is nice, you’re free to make this however you’re comfortable making it

Oooo I’ve been wondering what to do with my glow in the dark yarn!

I would love to test this pattern! It looks so cute

Awesomeness!

It works up quick and only needs one skein of Lion brand’s teensy skeins, so it’s a really nice fix for impulsive yarn buys… that I’m definitely not guilty of. Nope. Not me. Uh uh.

And now I want to go buy a cake of chenille to make a playtime stuffy for my toddler

Me too
I was pleasantly surprised with how bright it was when I brought it home because I literally didn’t even have to go anywhere dark to see how bright it was! Even just being out of the sunlight you could see the luminous glow :eyes:

Fair. I’ve liked glow in the dark stuff since I was little, so I enjoy it, but even with regular yarn (I want to do a couple with different colors and weights) it would look cute.

I always forget glow in the dark yarn exists, so it’s always a nice surprise to see! I’ve yet to run into it in person, but I look forward to someday making with some. Glad you could find your testers so quickly!
