Hey! Just a heads up — Bernat Blanket yarn won’t work for this test because it’s too thick and will throw off the stitch counts/sizing.

This pattern needs a thinner chenille, like Loops & Threads Cozy Cub (similar to Feels Like Bliss). If you can switch yarns, you’re totally welcome to join!

Hook size: 3m
Whether you’re comfortable with fluffy yarn: I think I would be~ thought I haven’t worked with very fluffy yarn.

P.S. I forgot to send my reply when I applied!!! It was in my drafts and I just realized just now. Also, you picked me for the tester and I already started and finished the 8 legs so far! I’m gonna go buy some faux fur ball from a store nearby. They usually sell the keychain ones so hopefully I find something!

Jumping Spider Pattern Tester Call

Hi friends! I’m looking for testers for my Jumping Spider crochet pattern

This is a low-sew pattern—the legs only need a few stitches, and final assembly is quick and uses a glue gun.

Pattern details:

Made using Lion Brand Feels Like Bliss (testers using this yarn get priority!)
Can also be made with thinner chenille yarn
Uses a faux fur pom-pom (small amount of faux fur optional)
I used a 5.5 mm hook
Any colors welcome—make it your own!

Due date: January 19

Please only apply if you can finish by then. If you need to opt out, just let me know—no worries!

If I don’t receive a journal (with at least one photo) and haven’t heard from you by the due date, I’ll assume you’re no longer testing.

What I need from testers:

Check for typos, errors, or confusing spots
Make sure stitch counts make sense
Share feedback or questions in the group chat (not the final journal)

Journal photos:

At least one good photo
Clean background and good lighting if possible
Natural light or outdoor pics are always a bonus
Photos may be used for tester appreciation or promotion (just let me know if you’d rather not!)
