well i think u should leave it be. because 1 you said you didn’t even know the other pattern existed (so you didn’t copy or truly replicate the design) and 2 your drangons tail is different. also i don’t see how the bobbles are a problem or there “the same place as mine” you just put them inline with the eyes

Just like Craftsrme67 suggested just adding a few elements or changing the main structure of an element (horns, wings etc.) could be a good way to change it up a bit 
!
