You will need 17-20 balls (depending on desired fit) of super chunky yarn, for a 10mm hook size. I have used Paintbox, but any brand will do​
you can find the yarn on Lovecrafts, I can’t attach a link unfortunately :(

Yeah ofc!! As long as its thick enough for 10mm hook, even doubling up on 2 strands of DK!
