Is using size 6 yarn and hook mandatory or can any yarn be used?
Any is fine but polyester yarn is best for a plush scrunchie acrylic is thinner but ruffles better

@NightmareCrochets Hello again! I was testing the pattern and I was wondering if you wrote the “row” 1 - 20 to be actual rows or if you meant 20 dc around the hair tie. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I felt that if I did do 20 rows of dc it would be way bigger than in the picture 
lol its 1-20 dc around the hair tie adjust how many dc as needed! different for different yarn types and how ruffled you want it!
Ohhh ok. That makes more sense then. I would still recommend changing the pattern to show how many rows of double crochet the scrunchie needs rather than having 20 things to check off when you mean that there are around 20 dc in a row if that makes sense. Because each number to check off is meant to be a row and not an individual stitch and it could be confusing if you formatted it that way.
