Tester call for Crochet: Snowman Stocking - OPTIONAL SEW

Helllooo Everyone!!!

I need testers for my - :snowman: Snowman Stocking Crochet ePattern :snowman:

I am looking for at least 5 testers to test the written pattern.

Testers will be chosen no later than August 28th, 2026. You will have until September 12th, 2026 to complete this pattern. That is 2 weeks to complete a pattern that takes roughly 3 hours and is OPTIONAL SEW.

Yarn and Hook (+Other Material) Recommendations

4 Weight Yarn (White/Blue/Pink) - Caron One Pound Yarn and Premier Basix is what is used in the photo below, but you are not limited to those brands. You must use white for the base of the stocking, but you’re welcome to use other colors for the cuff and ribbon.

6.00mm Hook - I use Clover hooks, but you can use any 6.00mm hook.

4 Weight Yarn (Black, I used Caron One Pound Yarn/Orange, I used Red Heart - Pumpkin) - Can be Swapped with Black and Orange Felt

4.5mm Hook - If you’re using the Black Yarn

Optional - Tapestry Needle - Makes things easier

Optional -Fabric Glue

(3 colors - Base - White, Cuff - Your Choice, Ribbon - Your Choice)

Confirm that you will be using a 6.00mm hook and a 4 weight yarn.

Let me know if you will be using Black and Orange yarn or Black and Orange Felt.

Tag 3 others that might be interested in testing this pattern.

Requirements

Be able to finish by the due date.

Be active in the group chat, provide corrections and suggestions, and send a clear 1:1 photo of the finished project (for tester appreciation). Preferably able to send progress photos as well, but not required.

Create and post a journal that includes both the hook size and yarn size that you used for the project as well as a clear photo of the finished product. Progress photos are appreciated here as well, but not required.

If you are unable to test at this time but would like to be tagged when the pattern is released, drop a reply below.

I will be doing a Christmas Pattern Giveaway with this pattern later this year after testing and editing have been completed.

I try to teach 1-2 classes a year. They are classes of 5 people for 5 session (1 per week), 2 hours each.

I work in a public library so I offered to have it as one of my assigned duties. Which is great cause I get to teach people to crochet, and I get to crochet at work.

You can always reach out to whoever books the programing at your local library and see if they’d be interested in booking a beginners crochet class.

Hii I think this would be a perfect ornament for Christmas to gift to my mom and I would love to test it!

I can use white for the base and I would also test the variation of the felt using orange and black yarn, for the ribbon I would use gray and for the berret light bleu or vice versa.

I don’t know the yarn weight because I no longer have the labels and if it’s not a problem I will use a 5mm or a 3.5mm hook.
