Tester call for Crochet: Spooky season (not) ugly sweter

Hi! I need testers for my Spooky season (not) ugly sweater
It would be nice if you had a crochet Instagram, where you would post about it, but it’s not required. This patter requires the ability to do colorwork and is a lot of work so please apply to be the tester only if you are sure you can finish it. Please read the rules before applying.

Rules:

  • Reply to my messages in the Ribblr group chat within 3 days, if you don’t do that you will be removed from testing
  • Make a journal, it can be just a photo of the finished product. Do not include instructions from the pattern in the journals
  • Finish by the deadline, if you notice 2 weeks before the deadline that you can’t make it tell me about it.
    Deadline: 8th of June
This pattern uses 4 mm hook and sport weight yarn
It’s on the beginner level (if you can do colorwork)

This is so cool! I don’t think I can test but I’d be interested once you release the pattern

This is AWESOME! when would we be given the pattern? I want to make sure I’d have enough time before applying

This is amazing!! I am very interested! I have two questions for you. I am curious how it is worked… in patches that are later sewn together or are the designs worked into panels?
& I went to look for sport weight yarn in my area but for some reason this weight doesn’t seem to be sold in stores around me. Is this weight a requirement for testers?

Thank you!:yellow_heart:

Are you strict on the colors for testers? Or could we sub a few out?

I usually give testers access to the pattern while they apply, so if you apply now you would get pattern this weekend.

It’s worked with vertical panel which are then sewn together. This way it’s easy to work on it even if you are in the car etc.
I would suggest using sport weight yarn. My yarn had 150 meters per 50 gram and i would look for yarn close to this. If you use too thick yarn sweater could end up too big and a bit uncomfortable.

Just followed you there, your Instagram is great

I think that if you did it right you could sub them out. I would be carefull about color choices because ono color is often used in diffrent squares, so things could start looking weird

I see, thank you!! I’ll keep looking but I’m not sure if I will have any luck with yarn in those colors and weight. I look forward to seeing everyone else’s makes! I followed you and your shop:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
