I need testers for my Yacht Tapestry Square - Crochet ePattern
This medium-sized square, approximately 25cm x 25cm when made with a 4mm hook and DK yarn, combines tapestry and intarsia crochet techniques. It is the equivalent size of four of my smaller beach-themed squares joined together.
As the third in a series of beach-themed squares, this design is part of a blanket project featuring various techniques and sizes. However, this versatile square can also be used for tote bags, cushion covers, and more. The pattern includes two colourways, as the finished blanket will feature two of these squares in different colours.
Due Date: 4th September
Skill Level: I have assigned an intermediate skill level to this pattern, although it could also suit an adventurous advanced beginner. The entire pattern is made from single crochet stitches and chains. However, it involves multiple colour changes, with up to 8 bobbins of colour in use at one time. The pattern includes instructions for interpreting both the written pattern and the chart, but some familiarity with reading patterns would be useful. You must also be able to maintain consistent tension.
Additional Requirements
-
You can use any yarn and the appropriate hook size, and experiment with different colours. However, please avoid novelty or plush yarns. I would greatly appreciate feedback on the yarn/hook used and the finished size of your square.
-
The instructions include an image of a chart, a Ribblr chart, short written instructions, and full written instructions. I am seeking feedback on these different types of instructions to ensure they are clear and easy to follow.
-
You must be willing to provide feedback on any parts of the pattern that are unclear or if you spot any errors / typos
-
A journal entry of the finished item would be amazing, but not required - however, I would love to see a photo of your finished square.
