This pattern calls for knitting in the round on double pointed needles. If that isn’t your cup of tea, I will release another version for straight needles soon. Let me know if you’d be interested in doing that pattern in addition to or instead of this one

I do know how to knit, I learned recently. I just don’t know how to read patterns, inc or dec yet… I hope to soon! I just need to learn more or else I would test!
Very cute!! I’m definitely interested in the straight needles as while I have double I have yet to use them and no clue to how 
however I’m still roughly a beginner so I only know cast on, knit, purls, Dec, inc, but I’m definitely interested in trying to learn new things as well, will you post a separate testing call for the straight or will it still be to apply here?
Edit: after looking into knitting in the round with dpn I think I can definitely try! I applied, so if you’re okay with letting a beginner try it I’m down to try!
