Or even if we just had it where all the shop managers can do the people who tested graded their tests one through 5 Being Completed Way before the due date and give excellent remarks and number one could be aborted the pattern as well as did little to nothing for me.
I do feel like the review system should go both ways. Designers can rate testers, but testers should also be able to rate their experiences with the designer/overall testing process. Iāve had negative experiences on both ends. Iāve been in tester groups where the designer ghosts the testers and Iāve had people ghost/abort the tests Iāve accepted them in.
Yes! A lot of people have been suggesting adding a public review, but that would be awful (to me anyways) because I donāt talk a lot while testing but still complete it, so I shoulbt get punished. I like the idea of a private one which is just notes for yourself
That sounds awesome! Good idea!
This is a great idea! I have never tested on Ribblr before. What does Karma on ribblr meanā
???
I think theyāre just points given to you by the designer based on how well you did. For example if you ghost or donāt make the deadline you may get no karma points but if you do well you get 5 (totally making up the numbers, I donāt know how many points you can get at a time)
Basically letās other designers know if you might be a good person to test. Or if youāve never tested
This is where I have mixed feelings too. I know a lot of people are more reserved or may take a poor review very personally which can be really disheartening. But at the same time I also like to know what I am or am not doing right
I mean the OPās idea was for the reviews to be only private and not public, so only the reviewer could see it. Basicly like tester notes. I like that method because one persons opinion doesnāt affect anyone elseās
Right! I like the idea of private notes/reviews more than public. Sorry, if I wasnāt clear, my kids are sick so my brain is mush. ![]()
Iād rather the notes than karma points too honestly. Iāve only had one tester call mention them and I had totally forgot they existed
Yea I agree with you- sometimes karma can be bad if the pattern designer aborted you for no reason or something else. I would love personal notes because I have a hard time keeping track of things
You only get 1 per test I believe!
I think itās a great idea, especially for when tester may have had a health issue arise or something then in your private notes on the tester, for example you can note them as
(positive example: they are a reasonably reliable tester, and usually only have problems with tests due dates and such when they have a health issues come up, otherwise reliable a reliable tester, and secondary they regularly notify me asap as soon as they know their health is gonna effect their ability to test, and are good at remaining in contact if and/or when a deadline extension is given, if I canāt give an extension for the test they applied to, it is best to not accept them for that particular pattern due to my lack of ability to be flexible on the particular patterns test, but should be a good reliable tester especially when I have the ability to extend the due date if something unexpected happens by 2-7 day {or something] since I know they will get it done in the end)
(Negative example with a similar situation: accepted as a tester by me multiple times, and although the health issues are completely understandable, they consistently donāt notify me of their health impacting the testing, donāt meet the deadlines regularly, and donāt even meet extensions I may have provided anyway, they never seem to communicate beyond Iām sick, and even once better are found not even trying to finish (or start) the original test once they are seemingly better, continues to ghost, even after attempting multiple times to communicate when I am aware they are online and active)
My hypotheticals are long ![]()
If you contact Ribblr when that happens they will usually fix the issue, I got ghosted by the person who posted the test, and I also had one where I accidentally applied for a test that was actually a Amazon copy image and didnāt even have the instructions, Ribblr handled that really well for me.
