I signed up as a tester for an orca. I have a question but i can not send the writer a message. It keeps telling me its a private account.

I’m not sure on what to do in that situation. I know some people keep their accounts private but that’s all.

Go to the tester chat and tag the maker

Did you try contacting through the pattern or did you go to their profile and message? If you did it through the pattern chances are they had already made a tester group chat and then added you, in which case you can message them privately or go to the comments of the tester call and mention you can’t contact them, if you can’t contact them at all definitely make a comment in the tester call

There is no tester group chat i could find so i went to message them personally and couldn’t.

Yes, sometimes designers create a tester group message and then add more testers which means they aren’t added to the tester group message, clicking the contact designer in the pattern will lead to that tester group message automatically but since you’re not in, it won’t allow it, from the looks of it, it could also be because their account is set to private, I believe a comment in the tester call saying you can’t contact them is good, however if that tester call is closed then tagging them here is also a good idea

When i tried messaging them it said it was a private account.

Try tagging their username in a message and see if they respond! Like make a topic and put @/their user without the / hopefully that will get their attention. I’ve had this same problem and that is what some helpful people told me :))

You could pm them right throught the pattern, or just pm them.
