I think ppl are using Ribblr as things like Snapchat and not at all crafting. But I think itās ok to occasionally post something about your personal life, but it should mostly be crafting, thatās why they developed Ribblr.

The group chat is often SO. OFF. SUBJECT. Thankfully Ribblr has added a chat for the people who want to use this app like they should: talking and giving advice about crochet or knitting.

Yes but that can be used for useful stuff not just nonsense that many people have to scroll past. There are many social media sites for just talking about random things, ribblr is for crafters to communicate and make new creative friends.

English is not my first language so I hope not to be rude. My intention is to be as polite and respectful as possible.
Personally, I find non-craft-related topics boring. Iām not interested in them and when I see that only other topics are being discussed, I leave the community section for a while.
Are you bored and want to talk about something? Use the chat. Are you bored and have an idea for something related to crochet or knitting? Make a post (but please name it something else besides āIām boredā. You are bored and what do you propose to not get bored?)
Something happened to you and you need advice from a group of strangers on the internet? Well, create a post or comment in the chat. Why not? But not all the time.
I like to read challenges that people set for themselves, projects they have done or plan to do, tips for improvement, doubts they have, pattern ideasā¦
Sometimes I have asked about a pattern topic and been told how to search for it. Well, I know how to search for it but the idea was that people would show me the patterns they have related to it. Sometimes you need ideas outside of ribblr too.

I agree, a few months back, I was always in the chat, and one day and I remembered why Iām here, its to share my crafty side of myself, not the other interests, personal life, or just random topicsā¦ I definitely agree we need more people that want to talk about crochet (or other craft related things), and not the random stuff thatās been getting posted recentlyā¦ thank you for sharing this, we need more people talking about it.
