Hmm, it is not at the upper part of the page when you first log in?
The notification is on the Ribblr side as opposed to the community.

if I log in, I usually just open the app on my phone and that takes me to the last thing I was looking at

That would depend if you close the app (or have battery saving mode on) or not.
By default any app keep “running in the background” (as long as you allow it) so it should continue from the same page/state where it was left.
