I need help getting more sales. I’ve only got 2. Does anyone have tips that have worked for them bc i need them
Do you promote your stuff on IG, tiktok, etc? It helps to promote across platforms, as annoying as it may be
No i only have ribblr it’s good tho, i don’t have to waste my brain cells on crusty videos lol NOT TRYING TO OFFEND ANYONE THAT IS MY OPINION!!!
Only saying this cause the amount of people browsing within Ribblr itself is somewhat limited, but sharing across multiple platforms brings people in, who are already interested in your product. That’s where I make most my sales from anyway
And no worries, no need to make crusty videos to advertise across platforms
Lmao “crusty” videos and photos on other platforms heavily help in getting more sales. I have tested this, and I can view how many people are clicking my link to my shop as I use linktree for my shop link and it’s amazing how many clicks it gets So it definitely helps. But in my opinion it’s all patience tbh. I have 2 platforms i use to promote my shop, and one other platform that I also sell on and collectively it has helped with sales So it’s more a concept of waiting, are many people wishlisting your stuff? As if so they will probably get it at some point
Also, I just wanted to mention, I just went to look at your shop and it does not appear on your profile for me?
Yep me too. People click on those like crazy! And don’t forget to use your Selfee link!
Yes I use the selfee link I am very glad that the selfee link stuff is a thing tbh, it has been quite useful
Its also not available for me so @DasChubba may need to try logging out and back in. If this doesn’t work ribblr should be able to resolve it
Almost nobody on Ribblr is buying premade items and for patterns to sell they need to stand out.
And most people on Ribblr don’t buy many patterns since it’s a pain to buy them, the process is annoying,
On Etsy or any other selling place no one is gonna buy your things unless you promote yourself.
That can be locals markets online videos etc
Nobody even know your stuff exists if you don’t promote.
If you think of it on the customers perspective, wouldn’t they rather buy products from a big creator on ig? It’s more guaranteed and just better choice.
Maybe you can promote your items here every once in a while? Put an item on sale and make a post about it, or make a giveaway of 1 pattern to 1 lucky person? Suggestions within ribblr if you dont want to promote in other platforms
I’d be interested to know why this has been your experience! It’s designed to be really straight forward- one click-apply/google pay or auto-fill card, and you’re done.
As for your question @DasChubba - of course it does help promoting on social media to increase your traffic as people mentioned, but there are plenty of “small”-ish one-person businesses that sell a ton of patterns on Ribblr and the majority utilize special tools that are unique to our eco-system. to name a few:
- testing and getting makes done increases your exposure a lot
- giving away free simple patterns to increase your shop awareness, gaining followers
- This way your new patterns and shop sales you run also get a lot of traction too
- using new features like exclusive for followers and dropping soon
It can seem hard to get the ball rolling, and expectations (and sometimes luck!) are key, but generally speaking people tend to think it’s the bigger most-followed shops that get a lot of traction but that’s actually not always the case!
Not much, the most i think a paid pattern is just 38. Someone just brought 2 right now. What other platforms do you sell on?
I don’t have a Ribblr store but I do sell my makes on etsy, something that works well for me is posting every time I drop something, post about it, and advertise it a bit
It still does not show for me
Ok thanks for checking again, @Ribblr can you help me pls
If you started as a crafter and changed to become a designer you need to go to your shop, sign out there, log back in and click community. That should reset it!
Ok thank you!
Ugh! I’m glad I’m not selling anything.
I just want peace and quiet,
