Tis the Season to Give

Hey y’all,

I was crocheting a beanie for my hat and had a sudden thought in my head about maybe seeing if I could contribute to a non-profit or something with my creations. Even if it means taking on an extra project or two, it feels just extra special to give to the holidays!

Do you guys have recommendations or personally dealt with a non-profit over gifting some creations?

We donate hats and scarves to operation gratitude. They also have a free pattern for a “disk flyer” (like a mini frisbee). I totally understand what you mean about the feeling of Christmas spirit when you give.

One of my crochet goals for next year is to donate amigurumi toys to children and teenagers in foster care.

That’s a beautiful goal! I hope you can achieve it next year!

https://theforgotteninitiative.org/ you should be able to find a local branch that puts together care packages for foster kids.
I also split my donations between my local library and a church that both run massive outreach programs for food and clothing
