Tracking finished patterns

Hey @Ribblr i think it would be a really good idea to also remove patterns from your gallery aswell as having the archive because i use my archive for patterns ive made before so i can keep track of where to find certain ones and sometimes it makes it hard if i have bought or got a pattern that i didnt want or got it by accident, or be able to mark a pattern in your gallery with like a tick or make it green or something to track if you have made it before.

Yes that would be even better

There should be a way to delete patterns that you have saved instead of just archiving it. @Ribblr

I like that idea! There’s some patterns I own that I unfortunately won’t be making, not because of how it’s written, more so they expressed in the the pattern not to sell makes from this pattern which is fine, but I have family and friends that love my crafts and if one piques their interest that want to purchase one. So I stick to creating and keeping patterns I know they’ll be able to buy without going against the designers choice, but some isn’t in the intro but in the pattern where I can’t see it so i end up up with patterns I won’t use in the end sadly.

Since I can’t organize my patterns I also use the archive but it gets mixed with patterns I don’t plan on making so having an option to completely remove a pattern would be great! I’m not sure how this could be implemented though, perhaps another button on the pattern in one of the corners and it asks ā€œAre you sure you want to delete the pattern —?ā€ with the — being the pattern name?

I could do with the archive if there was another way to organize your patterns in folders so the archive could solely be patterns I don’t plan on making but if not a delete option would be nice to have!

Me too. Although being able to separate them further in the archive section would help.

I agree as well

I don’t necessarily want to delete patterns, but it would be fantastic if there was a more clear way to mark if you can sell makes or not before purchasing a pattern @Ribblr !:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I’m the same way, I prefer to make things I could potentially sell in the future:sparkling_heart:

Thanks for sharing,

As a designer you can set this before you publish a pattern.
As a crafter it shows on every listing page, just before the ā€˜buy now’ or ā€˜get it now’ button.

Hope that helps!

Would you be able to attach a screenshot showing where this is?:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

As a designer, you can select ā€˜limi makes’ by hitting the cogwheel:

As a crafter you would see this message on the product page when makes are allowed:

Yes I’ve seen that! However some designers will still put in the description that you’re not allowed to sell makes, even with that part checked off:sweat_smile: So I’m wondering if it should be made more obvious:thinking:
I think some people don’t know what it means by ā€œlimit makesā€

I’ve also seen cases where in the intro they say you’re allowed to sell your makes but won’t have that there the 'Makes: Sell makes using this design" so I decided to just trust what the designer writes out in case they don’t fully understand or know about that feature or understand it yet

Yes I’ve seen that as well and I agree!
I’ve also seen cases where designers are okay with people selling in person, but prefer people don’t sell their makes online!
