Trick or treat crochet toy instead of candy option

Hi,
I’m aware that Halloween is still a couple months away. I was just thinking about how on trick or treat it might be fun to give out small crochet gifts instead of candy or whatever you might give out to the kiddos (or whoever) that have an allergy or for some reason or another can’t have candy. I thought it might be fun to try out some small quick makes that could be for something like trick or treat.
What do you think would it be fun to try out some free crochet patterns that could be gave out at Halloween? They wouldn’t all necessarily be Halloween themed. But if you want to theme them you could.
There wouldn’t be a prize or anything it would just be for fun and to try out new patterns.

Patterns I’ve thought about if you want to make them and join in or the fun you’re more than welcome to

Ok, I understand when I was younger we leaved in an area that didn’t. Now we still live in a very rural area but the schools will do little trick or treat or just have parties for something. They really seem to like to celebrate everything nowadays at the local school my kids go to.

That’s a great idea! My sister is allergic to peanuts but she can still eat most stuff. I think it would be really special to have a unique little basket with things you don’t normally see!:yellow_heart:

This is a great idea! Last year someone had out little animal figures for the kids to pick out and my three year old treasured that for the longest time. Little crochet treats would be so cute :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I was making a list of patterns I thought would be fun to try out for this and was wondering how many you think is two many? I have a hard time narrowing down the selections. I realized I’d made a list with 160 different patterns.

This is a Fabolous idea. I actually contemplated it a couple of years back but then i realized on most years i gave out over 100 lollipops so i would have to make over 100 little items to give out. But i think i will revisit this idea with it being an option the kiddos can choose instead of candy.

Cute crochet on YouTube has some cute Halloween themed keychains! You don’t have to add the chains though and just give them away as mini plushies. :ghost::jack_o_lantern:

If you do this, make sure to put out a teal pumpkin so allergy kids know you have something for them!
