I’m thinking of opening a shop here, but I only plan on posting free patterns.
Would I still need a Stripe account for that?
I’m aware of the designer royalty feature. If I don’t have a Stripe account, and someone would sell something based off of one of my patterns, where would that royalty go? Would it go back to the person who made the item, or would it go to Ribblr? I’m fine with either, I’d just like to know where it would go.
Edit: I don’t mind not earning the royalty. I know that probably sounds odd because the entire point of the royalties is they go to the original designers of the patterns.
If you plan on having only free patterns then having a Stripe account isn’t necessary. I have a shop and i am making free patterns only and im too young to have a Stripe account so i don’t have one
I should have clarified more. I will be editing my original post to include this in.
I don’t mind not earning the royalties. In this case, where would the royalty go then?
I don’t think there would be one. It wouldn’t go to the maker, they don’t earn royalties
Unless the designer has Stripe set up, Ribblr would have nowhere to send the funds
Unless they just accumulate somewhere until you set Stripe up, and then it pays you what you’ve earned at that point Only @Ribblr would be able to explain this
