Hey Ribblrs!
Over the next few weeks you may notice some changes to ads on Ribblr.
As we onboard more brand and shop partners, we are rolling out new ad placements and testing a few layouts. That means you might see ads appear in slightly different spots, and the design may look a bit different while we fine-tune things.
Why we are doing this:
In case you didn’t know, Ribblr is built by a small team of crafters. A huge part of our mission is to make crafting more accessible - so more people can craft, and with more ease.
Of course, building and running Ribblr comes with real costs - engineering, product development, hosting, customer support, designer support, safety and moderation, and everything it takes to keep the platform improving every week.
Ads are one of the main ways we can keep Ribblr free for everyone - so anyone can discover patterns, craft, use ePatterns and Ribbuild, testing tools, and be part of the community without needing to pay.
Our goal is for ads on Ribblr to be genuinely useful.
And we know some people love ads, and some people don’t - totally fair.
So we are focusing on relevance. If you do not mind ads, you should see things that better match your interests.
And if you prefer an ad-free Ribblr you can remove ads by upgrading to Ribblr+. It costs about the same as a single cup of coffee (as little as $4.99/month on an annual plan). Upgrading also unlocks extra benefits like unlimited free patterns and more, and it’s a great way to support the platform.
Regardless of your preference we thank you for supporting Ribblr - whether you use Ribblr for free, check out partner offers, or upgrade to Ribblr+.
Every option helps us keep building the best crafting home in the world. And things are only going to get better (stay tuned for special news!) ![]()
