Upload pdf into my shop?

I have spent the last months working on my first crochet patterns. Now, I have got several pdf-files. Amongst all the written information about the working steps they show a lot of photos that include additional small texts, instructions and labels. Everything is well-layouted.

In the help section, I have already found the information how to transform information from a pdf-file into the Ribbuild-Software. However, this would mean again weeks of more work. And I don’t think that all information from my layouted documents won’t turn out as I want them to look like.

Is it possible to just upload an existing pdf-file into my shop?

I don’t believe you can do quite what you are saying. I think you can use a pdf to get the info transferred to Ribblr. But then you will need a little fine tuning to get it just right. I think it is better than a pdf if you use the available options. In the future, if you enter the pattern into Ribblr first, it will be easier.

This link is the basic help link. In it are two places you might find what you need. Ribblr epattern and Ribbuild. Ribblr help center

If you have any other questions, let me know.

At the moment the only way would be to write the pattern here on Ribblr and attach a PDF to one of the lines as one would a picture, converting a PDF to a Ribblr ePattern isn’t possible yet, however I did see that a Ribblr+ membership from the tiers did offer that ability so you could wait and become a member of that tier when it unlocks, but for now you could do the first option I mentioned, also congrats on your first post!

Hi!

As mentioned before, all patterns on Ribblr must be offered in an interactive format, as this provides the best experience for crafters and protects your designs.

It certainly wouldn’t take you weeks to transfer a single patterns as you can copy paste an entire design, then just do final checks and media upload.

You may also add your PDF (or generate one if you created the design directly on Ribbuild in the future) as a media on top of the interactive instructions.

Hope this helps! We’re here if you need any additional help.

I was so scared to convert my PDF to the Ribblr format before I’ve done it but it’s way quicker and easier than you think. Give it a try! If you get sales here it will be worth the hour it takes to convert the pattern. Right?

Thank you all for your immediate answers!
I have written patterns for 13 different food amigurumi variations. This would definitely take me a few weeks beside my busy day job.
At the moment, I haven’t got the time to transfer all the information. Maybe during my summer holidays …

No worries - we highly recommend giving Ribbuild a try- it’s the world first pattern builder, and it’s free! You can even generate a PDF once you’ve done. It makes writing new patterns so much quicker.

Best of luck in your selling journey - we’re rooting for you
