Ok, hear me out… in the past few months, has anyone noticed that more and more people have been selling their crochet in stores? Is this due to more people learning to crochet? Or are there more opportunities?
Maybe I just didn’t notice it before but it’s been especially prominent these past few months in my area. The weird part about it to me is that there will just be a few random crocheted items at an antique store that are clearly not antique (trendy amigurumi patterns, modern yarn, etc.
I don’t mean to hate on these people at all, but do you think this is appropriate for an antique store? For context, at this antique store, people have booths (where they leave stuff) and there will be a few vendors who will mix in some of their CLEARLY new items and I just don’t know if that’s honest to the people who run the store, whom I presume are expecting at least semi antique items. In my area, there are places such as Painted Tree, a market for local artisans to sell their items and I don’t know why they don’t just go there instead (there aren’t many crochet vendors at the one close to me). But, I don’t know. I could be totally crazy and there really hasn’t been much change but I’m not sure. Again, I don’t mean to hate on these people at all, I’m simply curious.
So, fellow Ribblrs, what do you think? Am I right in thinking this way? (I just realized that this post sounds like an AITA [iykyk] which I don’t mean to do at all )
