Hey guys! We love the username change option here on Ribblr, but it can get kinda confusing. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I think it would be helpful if your followers got a notification when you change your username! It would defo clear up confusion. I know it’s not that big of a deal and people could just tell others that they changed their user, but what if you didn’t see it and just didn’t know? It’s a small thing, but (in my opinion, at least) the small things are what make Ribblr Ribblr!

That would happen if everyone constantly changed their username. Like it’s not that big of a deal if you don’t follow that many people. And even still youre more likely going to get bombarded with notifs from posts and likes than you would someone changing their username.

They don’t, but some change their usernames more than others. I’ve had friends who change their users a lot, others haven’t changed them at all. (See my “How many times have you changed your user” poll.) Just thought it would be helpful.

It greatly affects testing if you apply with one username and then change it. Especially if you change it before you are officially chosen for the test. Happened to a friend on here that couldn’t make a group chat because at least 1 person changed their username.

Thank you for bringing this up @Craftsrme67! I still don’t know who changed their username but it made that test an unpleasant experience for me and I’m sure it did for my testers

I can’t even change my username cos the system says “I did it too many times” when I actually did it like twice. I don’t know if there’s any other ways how to change my username?
