i’m a regular weekend vendor at a certain place that sometimes has markets on the days i’m there vending. i’ve had days where i’ve done really well and nearly sold out of all my products, and then other days, i’ve sold nothing. it really is hit or miss. i totally get how discouraging it can be to not make sales, but i think the main thing is to just not give up!
some of my advice would be to check out the typical market audience and making some things that fit the audience more. for example, i was making wearables and larger/more expensive plushies, but a lot of the events that i ended up attending were directed at kids, so the stuff that i made didn’t fit the target audience. i think try to balance out the items you want to make with what your audience may better want. i tried just doing stuff that people suggested, but i got really bored and burnt out quickly, so balance is key! there are a lot of posts here on market bestsellers that you can check out. this one was just posted a few hours ago!
