Hi guys, hopefully this is a little relateable, but what is a nice and polite saying to say that we are aborting the pattern? I thought that some people, like me, have these problems of being busy, overwhelmed, etc, and ( im not sure, but as a example,) smeone will block us from testing cuz thy couldnt finish. But other times the creator of the pattern will be really sad when someone doesnt finish their work/pattern. I dont wanna be hypocritical from my other post for having testers almost constantly not finshing the pattern, its ok when your just busy and somethings just randomly came up. I just want some ideas.
Thanks! All thebest,-Nightpool
if i have to abort, i normally message them privately and say like “I’m really really sorry, but something came up and i am unable to finish testing. im sorry for any inconveniences this causes you”
I haven’t come across this issue yet, but i would prob say:
“Hey, listen, something came up, and I just don’t have the time, really sorry about this have to abort. Once again, really sorry.”
I’ve had my health interfere with my finishing a very long and multi-pronged testing process for someone, gosh probably 7 years ago. I made several of the pieces but was taken, by ambulance again, to the hospital and they don’t allow crochet in ICU. So I busted, close to the end. I felted so guilty, but I can’t control my body, nor the hospitalizations. Typically my stays in the hospital are a minimum of a week or more. Anyway, I’m very cautious now about offering to test. I’ve tested on here for small projects quite a number of times, but then got caught up in it and started to get a little worried about completions. So now I test only for specific requests where I have plenty of time and only take one at a time till that one’s done and until I’m ready to go again. Hugs, Valori
